A large delegation of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is expected at the VIII IMBRICS Forum

On March 25, 2026, a regular meeting of the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) was held. Vice-President of the ICIE, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the VIII IMBRICS Forum, Mikhail Cherepanov, made a report for the first quarter of this year, in particular, on the results of a working trip to Brazil on February 3-6, 2026, which took place in connection with the 8th meeting of the High-Level Commission on Cooperation between Russia and Brazil on February 5.
At the meeting, Mikhail Cherepanov presented initiatives to expand the participation of the Congress in the international economic agenda and develop interaction with the business communities of large cities of the BRICS countries. Based on the results of the discussion, the ICIE Council adopted a number of strategically significant decisions in this area.

In particular, the proposal to intensify the participation of the Congress in business cooperation within the BRICS with an emphasis on supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises was supported. The growing role of the ICIE as an institution that consolidates the interests of business and ensures dialogue with government and international structures is noted.
The Council also supported the following initiatives:

•·to develop a program for the participation of the ICIE in business cooperation with the BRICS countries for the period until 2030 with the introduction of its Concept at the next Assembly of the ICIE;

•to create a working group to prepare a Strategy for the Development of Manual Transmission for the medium term under the leadership of the President of the Congress, Artem Chaika, which also included Mikhail Cherepanov;

•to form an extensive manual transmission delegation for the upcoming VIII IMBRICS Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg in the fourth quarter of this year.
The decisions taken are aimed at strengthening the position of the ICIE as one of the key institutions of business interaction in the BRICS space and expanding opportunities for Russian entrepreneurs and CIS countries in international markets.
